Description
As a new volume in the Advances in Surgical Pathology series, this book will provide a concise and updated review of brain cancer pathologic diagnoses with emphasis on practical issues and recent developments in the field. Each chapter will address the basic diagnostic features, differential diagnoses, and diagnostic pitfalls. The book will also provide a practical and a quick review of recent developments in immunohistochemistry and molecular testing in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. Additionally, the book will cover radiologic/pathologic correlations of various tumor entities from generating differential diagnoses to correlating histologic findings to radiographic information. It will provide a rapid summary for residents and fellows to stay up-to-date while in their training and studying for their boards. It will also be applicable to practicing pathologists who want to stay current in the latest testing and diagnostics as well as for those who are required to pass continuing maintenance of certification tests and credentialing.
